 Auburn City Hall on South Street
This website was created to spotlight not only the Auburn NY area but also the culture, history, people and places of the community. Auburn is a community rich in history and the home to many of the early innovators of this state and nation. William Seward, Secretary of State under Abraham Lincoln was a very prominent citizen of Auburn. Harriet Tubman, the" Moses of Her People", settled in Auburn after her escape from slavery. Theodore Case, who is credited with inventing "talking movies" made his home here. Thomas Mott Osborne, is credited with the introduction of many prison reforms practiced today. These are just a few of the people who have made Auburn what it is today.
|  The Finger Lakes region is a very picturesque region of New York State. It offers a variety of sceneries for every taste. The lakes in this area add innumerable opportunities for recreation and relaxation. In the winter, the skiing is great. In the summer, the boating and fishing is great. Wine trails abound. 
Auburn and the surrounding area of Cayuga County is a great place to work and raise a family.
